Fantasy League Debrief | Birthday Round
7 hrs
The Betfred Super League turned the big 30 over the weekend, and the celebrations certainly hit different!
There were hat-tricks galore, an upset or two, as well as pulsating and action-packed matches that went down to the wire. Round 6 will live long in our memories for all kinds of reasons!
Super League is well and truly up and running for the 2026 season! With this in mind, let’s look at who starred for their side over the weekend and what changes you may need to consider...
If you haven’t already you can build your team here!
Top performers
Mikey Lewis (116 points)
Everyone would have had this down as a close encounter, but Mikey Lewis had other ideas! Magic Mikey will be in the Saints’ and Paul Rowley’s head for a long time after his standout display on Friday Night!
Performances like that will remind everyone why he won the Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel in 2024 – and why Hull KR are the current champions.
Lewis scored three tries, assisted three tries and carried the ball for 120 metres, making eleven tackle busts in the process. It was a magnificent half-back display from the Robins’ number six.
Lewis is one of just four of players priced so highly in 2026 (170k), but if Friday night is to go by, he’s more than worth it.
Does your side need a new halfback? Lewis should be your man if you can afford him.
Don’t forget he has also been Fantasy’s top points scorer for two years running!
Tom Weaver (73 points)
The Aussie stand-off has had a tough time of it in 2026. Just like his Tigers side, until now.
However, he was at the heart of everything good for Castleford on Thursday night, as the Tigers showed Super League what they could be capable of this season.
Weaver was all over the park against the Bulls, scoring one try, assisting one more and making one clean break.
Cas fans will hope a corner has been turned after their victory in Round 6, and Weaver should hopefully be a major part of that turnaround in the near future.
Looking for a new stand-off in your Fantasy side? Weaver is priced significantly less than most and could provide great value for money as the season goes on.
£50k is an absolute steal!
Hull FC’s Jake Arthur also scored 73 Fantasy points in Round 6!
George Lawler (71 points)
The Tigers’ prop was one of the bright spots in the opening rounds of the season, showing plenty of character and fronting up when times got difficult for the West Yorkshire outfit.
His output on Thursday helped the Tigers get the job done against the Bulls. Lawler crossed the whitewash once and ran 120 metres.
He is more than capable of producing consistent points for any Fantasy side. Will you be selecting him at £110k?
Joe Burgess (70 points)
Burgess is the second Robins player on this list, and the second to bag themselves a hat-trick at the weekend!
It was a classic winger’s performance from Burgess; not only did he score a hat-trick, but he carried the ball for 160 metres, made three clean breaks through the Saints defence and also assisted one try! What a performance!
Burgess had a stellar 2025 season, capped off with his unforgettable two tries in the Super League Grand Final.
Fantasy players and Robins fans alike will hope he can repeat Friday’s performance and make match-winning contributions for the rest of the season.
At £140k, are you adding Burgess into your Fantasy team ahead of the Robins’ Good Friday clash with their inner-city rivals?
The Giants’ Jacob Gagai also scored 70 points in Round 6!

Joe Mellor (70 points)
This isn’t the first time the Bulls captain has appeared on this list; in fact it’s his third time appearing in Fantasy’s weekly top performers in 2026.
If that’s not a sign to stick him in your Fantasy side, we don’t know what is.
Mellor produced 70 Fantasy points in Round 6, highlighting again the value he brings to the Bradford side. He's been punching way above that £110k price tag with his output...
If you’re considering changing your loose forward in time for Rivals Round this weekend, Mellor should be at the top of your list!
He should go well against the Rhinos in next round...
Fantasy Flops
Jarrod O’Connor managed only eight Fantasy points in Round 6 with his game time restricted to 17 minutes. O’Connor has been previously averaging well over 40 points every week, so it could be worth keeping an eye on the hooker’s minutes moving forward.
The electric Matty Ashton earned just 17 Fantasy points in Round 6, but this is a figure that Fantasy players won’t be too happy with, as they’ve come to expect much more from the Wire flier.
Similarly, veteran winger Ryan Hall didn’t see much of the ball on Sunday and amassed just 18 points in Fantasy. Super League’s all-time try scorer will be keen to keep adding to his tally, but fellow winger Maika Sivo has been enjoying all the action down his side in recent rounds. Is Hall worth a swap for the time being?

Finally, Peta Hiku failed to leave a much mark in the match against the Saints on Friday Night – despite being on the winning team. The Robin scored just 16 points.
Are you ready for Rivals Round? Round 7 of the Betfred Super League gets underway with a blockbuster triple-header on Good Friday (live across Sky Sports and SuperLeague+).
All games will be broadcasted live, and fixture information can be found here.
